Located on the north side of the Maruyama district in Chuo Ward, Sapporo, Kitamaruyama Mori no Kodomo Clinic (Kitamaruyama Children's Clinic), situated near Nijuyonken Station on the Subway Tozai Line, has been providing pediatric care to local children since opening in 2017. The clinic specializes in pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology, offering general pediatric care, various vaccinations, and infant health checkups, as well as specialized treatment for endocrine disorders such as short stature, puberty disorders, thyroid diseases, and childhood-onset diabetes. One of the clinic's strengths is that Dr. Kei Ishizu, the clinic director, holds certification from the Japan Diabetes Society and provides treatment for type 1 diabetes using insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring. From an infection prevention perspective, the waiting rooms are completely separated for acute and chronic disease patients (including vaccinations), creating a safe environment for medical consultations. The clinic offers evening hours until 7:30 PM on Mondays and Fridays, accommodating families who have difficulty visiting during daytime hours. Services are available in English, and a dedicated parking lot with 10 spaces is available in front of the clinic. The clinic is also actively promoting digital healthcare through initiatives such as the implementation of the online qualification verification system and the adoption of electronic prescriptions.
