Ai Oguro Eye Clinic is a specialized ophthalmology clinic located in Odori Nishi, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido. Dr. Ikuyo Oguro, the director, is a medical doctor who received the Japan Glaucoma Society Award (Suda Award), and the clinic opened in 2015 as a specialized clinic focused on glaucoma treatment. Working in close collaboration with the Department of Ophthalmology at Sapporo Medical University, the clinic offers a wide range of treatments from general eye diseases to advanced glaucoma treatment. The clinic's feature is being the first in Japan to introduce the latest minimally invasive glaucoma laser surgery, and it also focuses on eye drop treatments and medication guidance tailored to patients' lifestyles. Since 2018, the clinic has also offered cataract day surgery, with a system in place for patients to undergo surgery without hospitalization. The clinic also performs atropine eye drop treatment aimed at suppressing myopia progression in children, addressing eye diseases across a wide age range. In April 2025, Prof. Hiroshi Oguro of Sapporo Medical University, specializing in retinal and vitreous diseases, became the vice director, further enhancing the advanced medical care system. The clinic is designed with a calm salon-like space inspired by Art Deco and is barrier-free.
