Sakata Eye Care Family Clinic, located in Nishioka, Toyohira-ku, Sapporo, has been supporting the eye health of the local community for over 20 years since its opening in 2004. The clinic operates with a two-physician system: Director Nobuyoshi Sakata, a board-certified ophthalmologist by the Japanese Ophthalmological Society, and Vice Director Yuri Sakata, a board-certified specialist by the Japanese Society of Pain Clinicians. In addition to ophthalmology services, the clinic also features an anesthesiology department (pain clinic). The ophthalmology department handles a wide range of conditions from common eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy to prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses. Cataract surgery is performed on an outpatient basis, with procedures taking approximately 15 minutes under local anesthesia, followed by 30 minutes of rest and examination before patients can return home. The anesthesiology department also provides pain clinic services for conditions such as stiff shoulders, back pain, herpes zoster, and blepharospasm. The clinic is capable of providing services in English and offers convenient access with 16 parking spaces equipped with road heating and a barrier-free design. The Hokkaido Chuo Bus stop "Nishioka 3-jo 11-chome" is located directly in front of the clinic, making it easily accessible by public transportation.
