Located in Sakurai City, Nara Prefecture, Okamoto Naika Kodomo Clinic is a medical facility established in 2007 by Dr. Shingo Okamoto, former associate professor in the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Nara Medical University, with the goal of providing specialized care comparable to university hospitals. The clinic houses both internal medicine and pediatrics departments. The internal medicine department offers comprehensive care focused on endocrine and metabolic disorders, including diabetes, thyroid conditions, and obesity management. For thyroid diagnosis, the clinic employs advanced ultrasound imaging and an aspiration biopsy technique developed by the director. As one of only two facilities in Nara Prefecture certified by the Japan Thyroid Association as a specialist institution, it accepts referrals from other prefectures. The pediatrics department is led by Dr. Kazumi Okamoto, recipient of the Health Culture Award, providing specialized care for growth disorders and allergies, along with vaccinations, infant health screenings, and nutritional counseling for weaning and allergy-friendly diets.
