Located in Irifune, Otaru City, Hokkaido, Nantaru Orthopedic Clinic is a specialized clinic in orthopedics and rehabilitation, approximately an 11-minute walk from JR Minami-Otaru Station and a 2-minute walk from the Irifune-Crossroads bus stop. Clinic Director Dr. Akira Shiozaki, a graduate of Sapporo Medical University, has extensive experience in sports medicine and holds qualifications as a certified orthopedic surgeon by the Japanese Orthopaedic Association, a sports doctor certified by the Japanese Orthopaedic Association, and an official sports doctor certified by the Japan Sports Association. The clinic's strength lies in providing treatment based on accurate diagnosis, utilizing MRI examinations in addition to X-rays for cases that are difficult to assess with X-rays alone. Special emphasis is placed on rehabilitation, combining four approaches: exercise therapy, manual therapy, orthotic therapy, and physical therapy. Physical therapists also provide individualized musculoskeletal rehabilitation. The clinic treats a wide range of symptoms including neck pain, lower back pain, sports injuries (tennis elbow, baseball shoulder, knee ligament injuries, etc.), and osteoporosis. While conservative treatment is the primary approach, a system is in place to refer patients to specialized hospitals when surgery is necessary. English language support is available, the facility has 17 parking spaces and is barrier-free, with an environment that caters to diverse patient needs. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM, and appointments can be made through the website or at the reception desk.
