Kon Eye Clinic, located in Kumano-cho, Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, is a specialized ophthalmology clinic providing community-based eye care services. The clinic director, Dr. Katsuyoshi Ima, is a certified specialist of the Japanese Ophthalmological Society. After training at Kyushu University's Department of Ophthalmology and gaining experience at Yamaguchi University Hospital and Nippon Steel Yawata Memorial Hospital, he established the clinic in 2009. The clinic offers a wide range of services, including refractive correction with eyeglasses and contact lenses, eyelid and tear duct disorders, allergic conditions, conjunctivitis, cataracts, glaucoma, floaters, retinal detachment, retinal diseases associated with lifestyle diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, and optic nerve disorders. In terms of equipment, the operating room air is maintained with an ISO Class 7 HEPA clean system, with careful attention to infection control. State-of-the-art electronic medical record systems have also been introduced, ensuring detailed medical records and strict management of personal information. The clinic is equipped with parking facilities and is barrier-free, creating an accessible environment for patients using wheelchairs or those with mobility concerns. The clinic is open on weekdays from 8:30 AM to noon and from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM, with Saturday morning appointments also available.
