Located in Hikoshima-Enouramachi, Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Hikoshima Children's Clinic is a specialized facility for pediatrics and allergies situated along a prefectural road. Having inherited the 'Yamaguchi Pediatrics' which opened locally in 1988, we have watched over the health of local children for over 30 years. In May 2022, we underwent a complete interior renovation and restarted operations, featuring facilities designed with infection prevention in mind, including a separate examination room where febrile patients can enter directly for safe consultation. Clinical departments include pediatrics and allergy, covering cold symptoms such as cough and nasal discharge, gastrointestinal symptoms like vomiting and diarrhea, febrile diseases including influenza, pneumonia, and Kawasaki disease, abdominal pain and headaches, bedwetting and constipation, as well as delayed motor development and speech—all general issues related to children. The allergy department provides treatment for food allergies, atopic dermatitis, and bronchial asthma, and also offers vaccination consultations, travel vaccination planning, and certificate issuance. Services are available in English, a spacious parking lot is provided, and filling out the web questionnaire beforehand facilitates smooth medical consultations. The pediatrics department is located on the second floor of the same building as orthopedics, so young children and unwell patients and their families must navigate stairs.
