Located in Kaminoyama City, Yamagata Prefecture, Yamagata Prefectural Child Medical Care and Rehabilitation Center is a specialized prefectural hospital with an orthopedic surgery department that comprehensively provides medical care and rehabilitation for children with disabilities and developmental challenges. Guided by the philosophy that "Every life born into this world, no matter how small or weak, is irreplaceable," the center continues to support children's growth from both medical and rehabilitation perspectives while respecting each individual's unique personality. The facility offers a wide range of departments including a medical care facility for children with disabilities, Child Development Support Center (Kara-furu Daycare), outpatient clinics (including online consultations), rehabilitation, dentistry, and daily life support services for people with disabilities (Hogaraka), establishing a comprehensive system capable of addressing various needs of children and their families. The center also features short-term respite care, daytime temporary support services, and a developmental disability support center. Additionally, with English-language support, on-site parking, and barrier-free design throughout the facility, the center provides an accessible environment for children with mobility challenges and their caregivers. The center is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and the year-end and New Year period (December 29 to January 3).
