Awano Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic, located in Nyuzen Town, Toyama Prefecture, became the first UNICEF/WHO-certified "Baby-Friendly Hospital" in the Hokuriku region in 2003. Designated as an infertility treatment facility in Toyama and Niigata Prefectures and registered as an IVF facility, it provides comprehensive medical care from infertility treatment to delivery. In June 2022, Dr. Kuniaki Yasoshima, a specialist certified by the Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, became director. He brings 23 years of experience from Kurobe City Hospital, with a track record as director of the Perinatal Maternal and Child Medical Center, specializing in perinatal management and infertility treatment.
