Waseda Orthopedics, located in Higashi-Nogawa, Komae City, Tokyo, is a clinic opened in June 2021 by Director Akioki Waseda, a physician who accumulated years of experience as an orthopedic surgeon at Keio University Hospital and its affiliated institutions. In addition to general orthopedic care, the clinic lists "foot surgery" as one of its specialized fields, addressing a wide range of conditions from the ankle to the toes, including bunions, osteoarthritis of the ankle, flat feet, residual pain after sprains, and sports injuries. The director trained in surgery under renowned physicians during overseas study and developed deep expertise in sports orthopedics through rugby during his university years, making dedicated efforts to support athletes aiming to return to competition. The clinic has a physical therapist certified as an athletic trainer on staff, offering rehabilitation specialized in sports orthopedics. During examinations, ultrasound equipment is used to visualize tissues such as tendons, ligaments, and fascia that do not appear on X-rays in real time.
