Aikawa Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic is a specialized ENT clinic located in Koyamacho, Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture. The director graduated from the Shimane University School of Medicine, obtained board certification from the Japan Society of Otorhinolaryngology, and opened the clinic in 1996. The clinic is equipped with a comprehensive range of diagnostic equipment, including audiometry, tympanometry, digital X-ray, electronic endoscopy, and ultrasound, enabling accurate diagnosis and precise treatment. Notably, three tympanometers are installed to minimize patient waiting times for examinations. The clinic has also introduced the Drop Screen test, which can identify a wide range of allergy triggers from a single drop of blood, making it suitable for children who are averse to conventional blood draws. On the treatment side, the clinic performs outpatient procedures such as CO2 laser nasal mucosa cauterization, tympanocentesis, and tympanostomy tube placement. The facility features a kids' room with a slide, and the audiometry room is specially designed with extra space to accommodate parents alongside young patients, making it considerate of both children and elderly patients. Infection control measures include isolation spaces and ventilation systems, and English-language assistance is available.
