Located in Minami-ku, Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture, Kinki University Hospital opened in 1975 as the only university hospital in the southern Osaka area. It is a large-scale medical facility with 800 beds and 35 clinical departments. Designated as a Specific Function Hospital, it holds numerous designations including Regional Cancer Care Collaboration Base Hospital, Liver Disease Care Collaboration Base Hospital, Disaster Base Hospital, and Regional Perinatal and Maternal Medical Center. Over 521 full-time physicians, 252 part-time physicians, and 892 nurses, along with numerous other medical staff, work at the hospital. Internal medicine departments include cardiology, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology, hematology, neurology, medical oncology, respiratory medicine, infectious diseases, and nephrology, while surgical departments cover gastroenterological surgery, neurosurgery, cardiovascular surgery, and more. Services are available in English and Korean, with credit card and electronic payment accepted. Parking and barrier-free facilities are available. The hospital is closed on weekends, public holidays, and year-end/New Year holidays.
