Kanda Home-Visit Clinic, located in Yomitan Village, Nakagami District, Okinawa Prefecture, is an internal medicine clinic officially registered with the health bureau as a home care support clinic. The clinic aims to support elderly individuals who have difficulty visiting hospitals and those in the terminal stages of cancer to spend meaningful time at home. In addition to standard internal medicine consultations, the clinic handles numerous bedside procedures including various catheter exchanges, wound and pressure ulcer treatment, and thoracentesis and paracentesis for pleural and ascitic fluid drainage. The clinic operates 365 days a year, providing 24-hour telephone consultations, emergency home visits, and end-of-life care, with a fully established system to respond to registered patients around the clock. The clinic also functions as a primary care physician in the community, maintains collaborative relationships with many other medical institutions, and as a designated home care support agency, assists individuals requiring support or nursing care in regaining their independence. Home-visit medical services are available for those who cannot independently visit hospitals due to illness or disability, within a 16km radius of the clinic (primarily covering Yomitan Village, Kadena Town, Chatan Town, and Okinawa City). Consultation hours are weekdays from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with closures on weekends, holidays, year-end and New Year periods, and Obon. English language support is available, and parking facilities are provided.
