Located in Ojishinmachi, Oita City, Oita Prefecture, the Oita Prefecture Oral Health Center is a specialized dental medical facility established by the Oita Prefecture Dental Association. It serves patients who have difficulty receiving treatment at local dental clinics, including those with disabilities, individuals requiring nursing care due to conditions such as dementia, those with chronic illnesses, and people who have difficulty brushing their teeth independently. The facility is equipped with three dental treatment units, one of which is capable of general anesthesia, enabling it to meet a wide range of medical needs. The center employs one full-time dentist, two part-time dentists, and three full-time dental hygienists, including physicians who hold certifications as specialists or certified doctors from the Japanese Society for Disability and Oral Health. Consultations are by appointment only, available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The facility is barrier-free and equipped with parking, allowing wheelchair users and those with caregivers to visit with peace of mind. English assistance is also available. The center also aims to serve as a training facility to increase the number of dental clinics throughout Oita Prefecture that can accommodate patients with disabilities, contributing to the improvement of dental care in the region. The center develops individualized treatment plans for each patient and strives to create an environment where patients can receive care with confidence.
