Located in Motomachi, Ebetsu City, Hokkaido, Meiwakai Ebetsu Kobayashi Eye Clinic, a medical corporation, is a community-focused ophthalmology clinic that opened in May 2015. After graduating from Sapporo Medical University School of Medicine, the director gained extensive experience at multiple medical institutions, including serving as an assistant professor at the university's affiliated hospital, and working at Iwamizawa City General Hospital, Sapporo Higashi-Tokushukai Hospital, and Tomakomai City Hospital (Medical Chief). Subsequently, for six years, they were involved in the diagnosis, surgery, and instruction of cataracts, vitreoretinal diseases, glaucoma, and other conditions at Ebetsu City Hospital. As a board-certified ophthalmologist by the Japanese Ophthalmological Society, the director also holds qualifications as a PDT (Photodynamic Therapy) certified physician, a physician for adaptive devices for visual impairment, and a designated physician for intractable diseases. They are also members of the Japanese Society of Ocular Surgery, the Japanese Retina and Vitreous Society, and the Japan Glaucoma Society. The clinic handles a wide range of eye conditions, from high-difficulty vitreoretinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and retinal detachment, to glaucoma and cataracts, supporting the eye health of a wide range of generations in the community, from children to the elderly.
