Muraoka Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology Clinic is a community medical facility located in Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, just a 5-minute walk from the north exit of JR Kokura Station. Since opening in 1992, the clinic has served a large number of patients and conducted corporate health checkups. In April 2025, Dr. Yukifumi Kamihira, who brings 21 years of experience at a general hospital, took over as director. The clinic offers internal medicine, gastroenterology, and radiology services, addressing a broad range of conditions from common illnesses such as colds and infectious diseases to lifestyle-related diseases including hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia, as well as digestive disorders involving the esophagus, stomach, colon, liver, bile ducts, and pancreas. In-house diagnostic capabilities include gastroscopy and colonoscopy, colon polyp removal, CT scans of the head, chest, and abdomen, and ultrasound examinations of the abdomen, carotid arteries, and thyroid gland, enabling a comprehensive and self-contained examination and treatment system. For hay fever and allergic conditions, the clinic offers not only pharmacotherapy but also sublingual and subcutaneous immunotherapy for long-term desensitization. The clinic also handles corporate health checkups, seafarer medical examinations, specific health checkups, and municipal cancer screenings, contributing to preventive medicine in the local community. English-speaking support is available, and the facility is equipped with parking and barrier-free access, ensuring a welcoming environment for a wide range of patients.
