Mimura Eye Clinic, located in Daimon, Kokurakita-ku, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, is a specialized ophthalmology clinic with a history of over 75 years since its establishment in 1941. Founded by a physician who previously served as head of the Ophthalmology Department at Kokura Municipal Hospital (now Kitakyushu City Medical Center), the clinic has been staffed by ophthalmology specialists with university hospital experience, including physicians from the Kyushu University Department of Ophthalmology. The current director is a physician who previously served at Kyushu University Hospital's Department of Ophthalmology. The clinic provides a wide range of ophthalmic surgeries, including cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, vitreoretinal surgery, blepharoplasty, pterygium surgery, conjunctivochalasis surgery, and retinal laser treatment. State-of-the-art diagnostic equipment is actively introduced to enhance diagnostic capabilities, and modern surgical equipment enables treatment using the latest surgical techniques. The clinic also emphasizes low vision care, aiming to provide comprehensive eye care from diagnosis to treatment and aftercare. The facility is barrier-free and accepts credit cards and electronic payments. English-language services are available. As of August 2025, Tuesday morning consultations are by appointment only. The clinic is closed on Sundays, public holidays, during the Obon period, and the New Year period.
