Kyushu Medical Center of the National Hospital Organization, located in Jigyohama, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, is a general hospital fulfilling three key roles: regional medical support hospital, emergency and critical care center, and regional cancer treatment cooperation designated hospital. It houses over 30 clinical departments, including infectious disease medicine, cerebrovascular neurology, cardiology, respiratory medicine, and hematology, along with advanced specialized units such as an AIDS/HIV Comprehensive Treatment Center, a Perinatal Center, and a Genomic Medicine Division. This is a referral-based institution, and patients are in principle required to bring a referral letter when visiting. The headache clinic is staffed by headache specialists certified by the Japan Headache Society every Wednesday afternoon, providing differential diagnosis and early therapeutic intervention for both primary and secondary headaches. English-language support is available, along with credit card and electronic payment options, as well as barrier-free facilities. The parking lot accommodates approximately 500 vehicles, and the hospital is also accessible by bus from Tojinmachi and Nishijin stations on the Subway Airport Line. The center is actively engaged in research and utilization of medical information under the Next-Generation Medical Infrastructure Act, and serves as the core facility for advanced acute medical care in the region.
