Located in Osakidai, Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture, Hokuso Orthopaedic Surgery is a specialized orthopedic medical facility that opened in April 2023 as part of the relocation of the former Sakura Orthopaedic Surgery Hospital. The facility consists of two buildings: the main building, which houses the Hand Surgery Center and the Recovery Rehabilitation Center with inpatient facilities, and the specialized outpatient building, which contains the Rheumatism Center. Inheriting the tradition of the former Sakura Orthopaedic Surgery Hospital, which ranked 8th nationwide and 3rd in the Kanto region for hand surgery procedures in fiscal 2006, the facility currently performs over 1,400 surgeries annually. At the Rheumatism Center, Dr. Kazu Yamanaka, former Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at the National Hospital Organization Shimoshizu Hospital, serves as Center Director, providing advanced rheumatism treatment. The Recovery Rehabilitation Center offers inpatient rehabilitation aimed at restoring physical function and improving movements necessary for daily living, with dedicated physical and occupational therapists providing careful and detailed guidance. Aiming to provide advanced medical care and community-rooted services, the facility also offers English language support, accepts credit cards and electronic payments, provides parking, and is barrier-free accessible.
