Located in Gonohe Town, Sannohe District, Aomori Prefecture, Matsuo Orthopedic Rehabilitation Clinic is an orthopedic specialty clinic rooted in the local community. Inheriting the history of community healthcare dating back to the Showa era, the clinic now operates under Director Yuzo Matsuo with the concept of an approachable family doctor. The clinic treats a wide range of conditions, including joint disorders such as shoulder and knee problems, muscle, tendon, and nerve conditions like neck pain, lower back pain, tenosynovitis, and numbness, as well as sports injuries, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, locomotive syndrome, and trauma such as fractures, sprains, and bruises—covering the full spectrum of orthopedic care. In July 2023, a rehabilitation department was newly established to provide more comprehensive musculoskeletal care. The clinic has also invested actively in equipment, gradually introducing advanced devices such as PHYSIO 5D (interferential current low-frequency therapy device) and radial pressure wave therapy devices (PhysioShock Master) to enhance treatments using physical therapy. Clinic hours are 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM (closed Wednesday afternoons, Saturday afternoons, Sundays, and holidays). The facility features 20 parking spaces and is barrier-free, creating an environment where elderly patients and those with mobility challenges can access care with confidence.
