Hisada Eye Clinic is an ophthalmology specialty clinic located about a 5-minute walk from Mikawa Takahama Station in Takahama City, Aichi Prefecture. The clinic director, Dr. Yoshiaki Hisada, is a board-certified ophthalmology specialist recognized by the Japan Medical Specialty Organization. After graduating from Aichi Medical University, he gained extensive surgical experience in cataract and glaucoma procedures at institutions including the Japanese Red Cross Wakayama Medical Center, Shinshu University Department of Ophthalmology, and Iida Municipal Hospital. Since opening the clinic in 2003, he has been applying his rich clinical experience to serve the local community. The clinic provides a wide range of services, from detailed follow-up examinations after school screenings and contact lens prescriptions to specialized treatment for conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy. For examinations, the clinic has introduced advanced equipment including an ultra-widefield fundus camera that can capture images of a large area of the fundus without pupil dilation, and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) used for precise diagnosis of macular diseases. This setup enables early detection and treatment while minimizing physical burden on patients. The facility is fully barrier-free and equipped with communication support devices for hearing-impaired visitors, creating an accessible environment for a wide range of patients. The clinic has parking for 20 vehicles on-site and can provide services in English. Saturday morning appointments are available, making it convenient for those who have difficulty visiting on weekdays.
