Mori no Shinryojo

Located in Oizumi-cho, Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture, Mori no Shinryosho is a community-based clinic celebrating its 10th year in 2026. The clinic offers a wide range of medical specialties centered on internal medicine, including pathological diagnosis, diabetes and endocrinology, and orthopedics, with regular outpatient services by specialists. Director Dr. Mori Mayumi is a certified physician of the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine, having served as Vice Director of the Tokyo Metropolitan Geriatric Medical Center and Hospital Director of Tama-Hokubu Medical Center. Vice Director Dr. Mori Shigeo, Professor Emeritus at the University of Tokyo and a certified pathologist of the Japanese Society of Pathology, also handles pathology second opinion consultations specializing in cancer pathology. A key feature of the clinic is its home visit medical services, provided by Dr. Kawagoe Atsushi for patients who have difficulty visiting the clinic or prefer home care. For patients with fever, the clinic has implemented infection control measures including consultations conducted in patients' vehicles. The clinic incorporates the concept of "Living Will" (advance directives) in end-of-life care, reflecting its patient- and family-centered approach.
