Hisano Dental Clinic, located in Minamikobayamachi, Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, was established under its current name in August 2023 following a relocation to a newly built facility. A defining characteristic of the clinic is its commitment to dentistry for patients with disabilities, in addition to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and oral and maxillofacial surgery. Chief Dentist Dr. Takahiro Kuno graduated from Osaka Dental University, refined his expertise in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Yamaguchi University Hospital, and earned his doctoral degree from the same institution. With additional experience at Shimonoseki Medical Center, he is a specialist with broad clinical expertise encompassing dentistry for patients with disabilities and beyond. The new facility is fully barrier-free, with treatment units and corridors designed to be comfortably accessible for wheelchair users. Fully private consultation rooms have been provided to accommodate patients with developmental, behavioral, and sensory disorders, enabling flexible and individualized care tailored to each patient's needs. State-of-the-art equipment is used for all diagnosis and treatment, and the clinic places strong emphasis on infection control through measures such as the installation of extraoral suction units and the introduction of high-performance cleaning and sterilization equipment. Multilingual support is available, including English and Korean, and the clinic offers ample on-site parking. Dr. Takashi Kuno, the father of the head dentist, continues to practice at the clinic, with father and son together providing community-rooted healthcare across two generations.
