Sakata Station Mental Clinic, located in front of Sakata Station in Sakata City, Yamagata Prefecture, is a clinic specializing in psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine. Clinic Director Dr. Naofumi Shibuya graduated from Yamagata University School of Medicine with a medical degree and holds qualifications as a specialist and instructor of the Japanese Society of Psychiatry and Neurology, a certified physician and instructor of cognitive behavioral therapy, and a designated physician of mental health. He also serves as a supervisor for cognitive behavioral therapy training conducted by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, forming the foundation of the clinic's specialized treatment system. The clinic provides treatment that combines medication, counseling, and cognitive behavioral therapy after carefully listening to each patient's story, covering a wide range of mental disorders including depression, ADHD, panic disorder, PTSD, OCD, schizophrenia, and borderline personality disorder.
