Tanaka Dental Clinic, located in Nakahechi-cho, Tanabe City, Wakayama Prefecture, is the only dental clinic in the Nakahechi area and has been serving the community's dental healthcare needs for over 30 years since its founding in 1990. Director Dr. Junji Tanaka holds a doctorate in dentistry from Osaka Dental University and has extensive specialized training in oral surgery and oral pathology, while also serving as a managing director of the Wakayama Prefectural Dental Association. The clinic offers a wide range of services including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, preventive dentistry, orthodontics, and home visit care. While insurance-covered treatments form the core of its services, the clinic also provides self-pay options such as implants and cosmetic dentistry upon request. In terms of equipment, the clinic features an Er:YAG laser that produces minimal discomfort and can in some cases be used without anesthesia, a CO2 laser for gingival incision and mouth ulcer treatment, a high-frequency therapy unit, a laser-based caries detection device, and an intraoral camera. The facility is fully barrier-free with no steps from the entrance ramp through to the treatment rooms, allowing wheelchair users to enter without difficulty, and wheelchairs are also available within the clinic. English-speaking assistance is available, parking is provided on-site, and treatment rooms are separated by partitions to ensure patient privacy. Consultations are conducted primarily by appointment, with office hours from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
