Located in Higashi-Ikebukuro, Toshima Ward, Tokyo, Sato Gastrointestinal Internal Medicine Clinic has been operating as a cooperative medical institution of Cancer Institute Hospital of JFCR (formerly Cancer Institute Ariake Hospital) since its opening in January 2004. Specializing in gastrointestinal and colonoscopy examinations, the clinic has a track record of detecting 20 gastric cancer patients out of 998 gastroscopy patients and 21 colon cancer patients out of 519 colonoscopy patients, providing treatment in collaboration with Cancer Institute Ariake Hospital. The clinic also has a system to detect cancers of non-digestive organs such as the thyroid, prostate, and bladder during ultrasound examinations and refer patients to appropriate medical institutions. Based on the belief that "endoscopy must be performed comfortably and safely without causing pain to patients," the clinic generally provides gastric and colon endoscopy with mild intravenous anesthesia. Examination images are stored digitally on a 1.4TB image server, averaging 70-80 images per patient, allowing patients to confirm the detailed condition of their stomach and colon immediately after the examination while receiving explanations from the physician. From the perspective of contributing to regional healthcare, the clinic has installed automatic blood biochemical analyzers and blood cell analyzers, enabling test results to be obtained in approximately one hour instead of the usual next day or later, realizing rapid diagnosis and treatment. English services are available, and barrier-free facilities are provided. The clinic is closed on Thursdays, Sundays, holidays, and year-end and New Year holidays.
