Located about a 4-minute walk from JR Sugamo Station, on the second floor of a Kampo pharmacy in Sugamo Jizo-dori Shopping Street, Shiseido Clinic provides comprehensive care that combines both Kampo and Western medicine approaches. Dr. Hiroyuki Matsuda, a certified Kampo specialist by the Japan Society of Oriental Medicine, has approximately 20 years of experience at the Department of Nephrology and Hypertension at The Jikei University School of Medicine, and has treated chronic diseases including kidney disease and hypertension. The clinic offers treatment that leverages the strengths of both Western and Kampo medicine, incorporating Oriental medicine techniques such as pulse diagnosis and the four examinations. Guided by the philosophy 'Treat the person, not the disease,' the clinic proposes treatment methods tailored to each individual patient. In addition to general internal medicine, the clinic also handles a wide range of lifestyle-related diseases including diabetes and hypertension. English language and barrier-free services are available. The clinic is closed on Thursdays and public holidays, and in principle, also on the second Saturday and Sunday of each month.
