Okuyama Eye Clinic is an ophthalmology clinic located in Nagafuku-cho, Suginami Ward, Tokyo, established in March 2020 by Director Dr. Shinya Okuyama. Having experienced the regret of treating patients only after their conditions had worsened during his time at general hospitals, the director opened this clinic to preserve vision through early examinations and treatments. With extensive experience managing pediatric strabismus and amblyopia specialty outpatient clinics at university hospitals, as well as handling diverse cases in regional practice, the director boasts a broad range of clinical achievements. The facility is fully equipped for surgery, performing same-day cataract surgery (including multifocal lenses), intravitreal injections, ptosis surgery, and pterygium surgery for external eye conditions. With over 7,000 surgical procedures performed between 2003 and 2020, the clinic provides thorough preoperative and postoperative explanations. The director is a certified ophthalmologist by the Japanese Ophthalmological Society, holds a Medical Doctor degree, and belongs to various academic societies including the Japanese Association for Strabismus and Amblyopia. The clinic is closed on Tuesdays, Sundays, holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, and specific summer vacation days. English consultation is available, and the clinic accepts credit cards, debit cards, and electronic payments, with parking provided. The barrier-free facility features reception, waiting area, examination rooms, testing rooms, dark rooms, and an operating room, with hydro-fresh wall painting applied to help reduce allergens.
