Takadanobaba Clinic is a medical clinic located along Waseda Street in Takadanobaba, Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo. It offers excellent access, approximately a 4-5 minute walk from JR Takadanobaba Station (Waseda Exit) and just a 30-second walk from Tokyo Metro Tozai Line Takadanobaba Station (Exit 7). Located on the second floor of the Shizawa Building, first-time patients are required to make a reservation by email in advance. The clinic specializes in three departments: psychiatry, child psychiatry, and Kampo (Japanese herbal medicine), providing psychiatric care from infants to adults. They treat psychosomatic disorders, neurosis, trauma-related symptoms, schizophrenia, mood disorders, and developmental disorders, focusing primarily on counseling and advice with minimal medication prescribed when necessary. For Kampo medicine treatments, various physical and mental conditions are addressed, though treatments for conditions not considered illnesses or diseases,体质改善 purposes, or supplement-like usage are treated as out-of-pocket expenses. Director Dr. Hiroshi Tokuda holds qualifications as a psychiatrist, designated mental health physician, and Kampo specialist. After graduating from Kyoto University Faculty of Medicine, he worked at the Tokyo Metropolitan Children's Medical Center's Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department and the Shokan Clinic Kanda before serving as director since 2012.
