Takara Clinic, located in Higashi-Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, is a cancer-specialized private practice clinic. Established in 2002, the clinic has dedicated over 20 years to cancer treatment, practicing an original protocol called TCTP (Total Cancer Treatment Protocol) that combines immunotherapy with standard treatments. TCTP integrates local control (radiation) and systemic control (immunotherapy) — a method that cultures and activates the patient's own immune cells (dendritic cells, macrophages, and T lymphocytes) before reintroducing them into the body. By administering directly into tumors under ultrasound or endoscopic guidance, the approach minimizes physical burden, and treatment is generally performed on an outpatient basis. The clinic treats solid tumors including breast cancer, thyroid cancer, esophageal cancer, and skin cancer, and also accepts second opinions for advanced or metastatic cases and patients with limited options at other institutions. Director Takeshi Takara graduated from St. Marianna University School of Medicine, studied abroad at McGill University in Canada, and has extensive experience in transplantation and gastrointestinal oncology. All treatments are by appointment only, beginning with an initial 90-minute consultation.
