Compared to traditional open surgery, laparoscopic procedures involve smaller incisions—only two small incisions of approximately 5mm near the navel—resulting in less postoperative pain and a shorter recovery period before returning to daily activities. Surgery typically takes 40-50 minutes, and patients who undergo surgery in the morning can return home the same day. Director Dr. Takashi Shintani graduated from Showa University School of Medicine and has extensive experience performing and teaching laparoscopic surgery, holding certification from the Japan Society for Endoscopic Surgery. Since opening, the clinic has performed over 3,700 surgeries, with 473 same-day procedures completed in 2023 alone. The clinic operates by appointment only, minimizing wait times, offers English-language medical services, and features barrier-free facilities.
