Oi-machi ENT Clinic, located in Higashi-Oi, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, provides medical care with a motto of offering careful and easy-to-understand explanations to patients. As a general ENT clinic, we treat symptoms including colds, hay fever, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, hoarseness, hearing loss, tinnitus, and dizziness, and accept consultations regarding ear, nose, throat, and dizziness. Specialized treatments include laser treatment for the nasal mucosa (inferior turbinate mucosa cauterization) for hay fever and perennial allergic rhinitis, covered by insurance. This treatment is suitable for those whose symptoms cannot be adequately controlled by medication alone or who wish to reduce medication. For allergy treatment, sublingual immunotherapy (cedar pollen, dust mites) is also performed, which alleviates allergy symptoms by administering allergens under the tongue daily to acclimate the body. This treatment requires regular hospital visits and daily home medication for over 2 years (recommended 3-5 years). In screening, we conduct laryngeal cancer screenings commissioned by Shinagawa-ku, targeting Shinagawa-ku residents aged 40 and above with a self-payment cost of 500 yen. Examination equipment is well-equipped, with a video nasopharyngoscope to observe deep areas of the nose and throat, an audiometer for hearing tests, and tympanometry to measure the mobility of the eardrum. OAE screening is used for infant hearing screening and sensorineural hearing loss diagnosis, while nystagmus testing (infrared CCD camera) is performed for patients with dizziness symptoms. Influenza vaccinations are also offered for a limited period, and those potentially having highly contagious infectious diseases are accommodated in an isolation room.
