Located in Nishitokyo City, Tokyo, just a 3-minute walk from the north exit of Higashi-Fushimi Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line, Higashi-Fushimi Eye Clinic is a specialized ophthalmology clinic that has been led by current director Dr. Eisuke Arai since July 2023. Dr. Arai gained extensive surgical experience in cataracts, glaucoma, and vitreoretinal diseases at Juntendo University and St. Luke's International Hospital, where he also managed a specialized outpatient clinic for age-related macular degeneration. Additionally, he studied at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, USA, bringing broad clinical expertise and specialized knowledge to patient care. A key feature of the clinic is its newly built in-house operating room, which enables same-day combined cataract and glaucoma surgery. The clinic performs cataract surgery using multifocal and toric intraocular lenses, as well as MIGS (Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery) procedures using the iStent. The clinic also offers a wide range of services including intravitreal injections for age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, low-concentration atropine eye drops for myopia progression control, and comprehensive eye screenings. Open until 6 PM on weekdays, the clinic provides parking and is fully barrier-free. Credit cards and electronic payments are accepted, creating an accessible environment for a diverse range of patients.
