Located in Fujimidai, Nerima Ward, Tokyo, Fujimidai Clinic is a pediatric otolaryngology clinic affiliated with "Fujimidai Classroom for Hearing and Speech," a day-care facility for hearing-impaired young children. Operated by Social Welfare Corporation Fujimikai, the clinic opened in 2020, though the organization has been dedicated to early education for hearing-impaired children since 1968. Dr. Satoko Wakabayashi, the medical director, is a board-certified otolaryngologist and medical doctor licensed by the Japan Otolaryngological Society. A graduate of Keio University School of Medicine, she specialized in otology at university hospital, where she gained extensive experience in hearing loss and tinnitus outpatient care as well as cochlear implant outpatient services. In addition to general ENT care for ears, nose, and throat, the clinic places particular emphasis on hearing testing. The soundproof audiometry room accommodates both adults and children who may have difficulty with standard hearing tests. On Wednesday afternoons, Dr. Shujiro Minami, Chief of the Otolaryngology Department at Tokyo Medical Center, provides part-time consultations, ensuring the clinic can handle cases requiring cochlear implant surgery. The hearing aid clinic offers rental services and purchase consultations. The facility is fully barrier-free and accessible within walking distance from both Nerima-Takanodai and Fujimidai Stations on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line.
