Located just a 1-minute walk from Nakameguro Station along Yamate-dori, Nariko Clinic is led by Dr. Hiroshi Nariko, who has extensive experience in treating gastrointestinal cancers at university hospitals and regional core hospitals. The clinic primarily serves local patients, specializing in internal medicine with a focus on gastroenterology and proctological surgery. The clinic features a spacious waiting area with bright colors and three vitamin-colored orange sofas as accents. On the same floor, there are examination rooms, treatment rooms, and an endoscopy room, with expertise in upper endoscopic examinations that provide detailed observation from the esophagus to the stomach. In 2022, the clinic upgraded its endoscopy examination systems and examination room monitors with new equipment, allowing for higher-resolution images that are expected to improve examination accuracy and enable patient explanations using high-definition imagery. The new endoscopes can switch between standard and laser light for esophageal illumination, which helps in detecting early-stage esophageal cancer. Additionally, the clinic makes efforts to reduce pain and gag reflex during examinations using sedatives and transnasal endoscopes.
