Located just a one-minute walk from Hanakoganei Station (Seibu Shinjuku Line) north exit, Hiruma Clinic has supported community healthcare in Hanakoganei, Kodaira City since its establishment in 1952. Rebuilt in 2007, the clinic is currently led by Director Kiyoshi Hiruma, a Chiba University School of Medicine graduate with research experience at the US National Cancer Institute (NIH/NCI). Specializing in internal medicine, hematology, immunology, and transfusion medicine, Director Hiruma holds multiple certifications including those from the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine and the Japanese Society of Hematology. A key feature of the clinic is its ability to address blood-related concerns such as anemia and abnormal blood test results. The clinic offers internal medicine, pediatrics, and hematology, with a primary care philosophy serving patients from infancy to over 100 years old. The treatment approach emphasizes patients' natural vitality rather than excessive reliance on medication. Vaccination services range from routine pediatric immunizations to adult shingles and influenza vaccines, while health screenings include specific health checkups, various cancer screenings, and infant examinations. When necessary, a referral system to regional core hospitals such as Public Showa Hospital and Tama Hokubu Medical Center is available.
