Tokyo Metropolitan Health and Longevity Medical Center, located in Sakae-cho, Itabashi Ward, Tokyo, provides medical services in infectious diseases. As a local independent administrative agency established by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the center integrates research and practice in elderly healthcare. Research findings have demonstrated that combining the questionnaire commonly used in health screenings for elderly people with the basic checklist used to identify participants in secondary preventive care programs can effectively identify elderly individuals at particularly high risk of requiring long-term care certification. The study showed that individuals identified as at-risk by both tools had a 2.55 times higher risk of newly requiring long-term care certification compared to those identified as at-risk by neither tool. Through such evidence-based research activities, the center contributes to the health and longevity of elderly people and preventive care. For visitor convenience, the center offers English-language services, accepts credit cards, debit cards, and various electronic payment methods, and provides parking and barrier-free accessibility.
