Located in Hiromatsuhonmachi, Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture, Okubo Ophthalmology Clinic supports the eye health of the local community as a specialized ophthalmology clinic. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with Saturday mornings only. The clinic is closed on Sundays and holidays, as well as Thursday afternoons and Saturday afternoons. On Monday and Wednesday afternoons, outpatient services are limited as surgeries are performed. The eyelid clinic provides surgical treatment for ptosis caused by aging or contact lens use, while the strabismus and amblyopia clinic focuses on visual development in early childhood, using spot vision screeners for early detection and treatment. The clinic also prescribes contact lenses and eyeglasses. As contact lenses are designated as highly regulated medical devices, prescriptions by an ophthalmologist and regular examinations are required. Please note that eye drops to dilate the pupils are used for fundus examinations, resulting in blurred vision for approximately four and a half hours after the exam. The clinic has parking and is barrier-free, with English-speaking support available.
