Located in Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture, Tochigi Prefectural Cancer Center serves as a core facility for specialized cancer care in the region as a prefectural cancer care cooperation base hospital. With a treatment system centered on internal medicine and hematology, the center is committed to providing safe and secure advanced cancer care to each patient. One of the center's notable features is the establishment of a robotic surgery center equipped with the surgical support robot 'da Vinci,' enabling surgical treatment with minimal physical burden. The center also has a Rare Cancer Center and actively provides consultation and treatment for rare cancers that are difficult to handle at general medical institutions. In terms of research, the center focuses on promoting translational research and practical application of innovative healthcare through industry-academia-government collaboration, and opened a new 'Research Park' in August 2025.
