Located in Nasushiobara City, Tochigi Prefecture, International University of Health and Welfare Hospital has served as a general hospital supporting regional healthcare as a core medical facility in northern Tochigi Prefecture since its establishment in 1998. With many medical departments including internal medicine, it became an affiliated hospital of International University of Health and Welfare in 2007 and is currently operated with 449 beds and approximately 1,000 medical staff. Designated as a Tochigi Prefecture Cancer Treatment Core Hospital in 2012, the hospital is equipped with advanced medical equipment such as PET-CT, 320-slice multi-detector CT, 3.0 Tesla MRI, and the surgical support robot "da Vinci." In October 2022, it introduced the first hybrid operating room in northern Tochigi Prefecture, enabling simultaneous surgical and endovascular procedures. The hospital also features specialized care centers including a Cardiovascular Center, Arrhythmia Center, and Perinatal Center. The campus includes a geriatric health services facility and home care center, creating an integrated environment combining health, medical care, and welfare services. The hospital offers English-language services, accepts credit cards and electronic payments, and provides parking and barrier-free facilities. Note that the hospital is scheduled to be renamed "International University of Health and Welfare Nasu Medical Center" effective April 1, 2026.
