Kanzan Hospital, specializing in internal medicine, is located in Kamiyama, Gotemba City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Established in 1889 as Japan's first leprosy sanatorium, this historic facility celebrated its 135th anniversary in May 2024. In 2002, the hospital was reborn as a facility with a hospice and long-term care ward, and since April 2019, the long-term care ward has operated as a medical nursing care facility. In 2017, a small-scale multi-functional home care service and visiting nursing station were opened, emphasizing home care support. The hospital director, after graduating from Nagasaki University School of Medicine and gaining research experience at the Kenya Medical Research Institute and University of Southern California, is dedicated to home medical care and geriatric medicine. Internal medicine is available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 AM to 12 PM, with parking and barrier-free facilities provided. English and Korean services are also available, offering medical and nursing care based on the philosophy of 'valuing each life based on Christian love'.
