Located in Oji-ga-oka, Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture, Takayama Dental Clinic is an accredited training facility of the Japanese Society of Periodontology and has a board-certified periodontist on staff. The clinic director is a leading expert involved in the development of "Regrosc," the world's first drug for periodontal tissue regeneration, and performs periodontal tissue regeneration-guided surgery using the cell growth factor FGF-2 and special barrier membranes to regenerate lost periodontal tissue. The clinic's policy is to preserve teeth whenever possible without extraction, and even when treatment requires tooth reduction, the amount is minimized. To improve diagnostic accuracy, the clinic is equipped with dental CT and digital X-rays, and has an intraoral scanner to work with dental technicians using CAD/CAM technology for prosthesis fabrication. The clinic uses the "D-Net System" to manage periodontal examination data and intraoral photographs for severe periodontitis patients, quantifying and visualizing the risk assessment of disease severity. The clinic has installed stepless chairs to accommodate patients with mobility issues and implements the Instrument Management System (IMS) cycle for thorough sterilization and disinfection of all instruments. In addition to English support, the clinic accepts credit cards, debit cards, and electronic payments, and provides a 300-yen subsidy for parking fees when out-of-pocket expenses exceed 1,000 yen.
