Taku Internal Medicine Clinic (formerly Yamaguchi Clinic), located in front of Notogawa Station in Higashiomi City, Shiga Prefecture, is an internal medicine clinic that reopened under new management in December 2025, carrying on approximately 70 years of community healthcare history. Director Dr. Taku Yamaguchi graduated from Osaka Medical University and accumulated years of clinical experience in the Gastroenterology Department at Takeda Hospital and the General Internal Medicine and Emergency Medical Center at Omihachiman City General Medical Center. He holds board certifications from the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine as a General Internal Medicine Specialist, along with specialty qualifications in gastroenterology and gastrointestinal endoscopy, and also serves as a Shiga Prefecture Disaster Medical Coordinator, demonstrating a distinguished career across a wide range of medical fields. The clinic offers a comprehensive range of in-house diagnostic services, including gastroscopy (transnasal endoscopy), ultrasound examinations of the abdomen, heart, carotid arteries, and thyroid, X-ray, electrocardiography, and blood and urine tests. A dedicated infection control examination room is available for patients concerned about infectious diseases, and the clinic actively provides home visits and home medical care for those who have difficulty traveling to the clinic. The clinic has also implemented electronic medical records, online appointment booking and pre-consultation forms, and credit card payment to improve patient convenience.
