Wako Midwifery Clinic, located in Wako City, Saitama Prefecture, is a private midwifery clinic established in March 2011 in response to community concerns about limited birthing options in the area, with support from local government and various organizations. While focusing on support for pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, and child-rearing, it also serves as a "community home" where people of all generations can interact, aiming to create an environment where women can balance work and childcare. The facility houses the "Wako Prenatal and Postpartum Care Center" (a general incorporated association), which handles the "Hello Baby Visit Program" commissioned by Wako City, providing free home visits by midwives and public health nurses for infants up to 4 months old. Currently, midwifery services are suspended and only breastfeeding care is available. The clinic regularly holds child-rearing and pregnancy classes that are open to non-residents as well. English-language support is available, and parking is provided, creating an accessible environment for a wide range of users. Hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays, closed on weekends and holidays.
