Located in Ashiro, Higashiosaka City, Osaka Prefecture, Maruo Clinic is a medical facility specializing in dialysis with a focus on nephrology. Established in 1987 with the goal of social reintegration for patients with chronic renal failure, the clinic started small with 4 patients and 3 staff members, but has now grown into a facility of approximately 1,119 tsubo serving around 120 patients. Specializing in hemodialysis, the clinic is equipped with 62 dialysis beds and provides treatment under the philosophy of 'eat well, move well, and dialyze well' in renal failure therapy. Looking back at its history, the clinic increased its dialysis beds to 25 in 1993 and continued gradual expansion, adding a patient locker room on the 6th floor in 2002 to reach its current scale. The clinic also has a cooperative system with urology, and a urologist became the director in 2014. In terms of facilities, the clinic is barrier-free, offers medical services in English, and provides a shuttle service. Through such environmental improvements, the clinic supports patients so they can lead their daily lives with peace of mind.
