About
Ota Dental Clinic, operated by the Yowa medical corporation, is located in Nakasho, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, and has been providing dental care to the local community for over 40 years since its founding in 1978. A defining feature of the clinic is its emphasis on preventive dentistry rather than treatment-focused care. In 2000, the clinic relocated to expand its dedicated preventive care units, establishing a practice structure focused on cavity prevention from childhood and periodontal disease prevention in adults. In 2014, the clinic transitioned to a medical corporation, further enhancing its medical facilities. In terms of equipment, the clinic has introduced the latest dental CT and cephalometric combined unit, which delivers lower radiation exposure compared to conventional devices and enables accurate diagnosis through high-precision imaging. The clinic has also filed facility standard notifications with the Regional Bureau of Health and Welfare under the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Director Takaatsu Ota graduated from Nippon Dental University and, after conducting periodontal research at Nihon University Matsudo Dental School and working in oral surgery at Kawasaki Medical University, established the clinic. He continues to develop his expertise as a member of the Japanese Society of Oral Health and the Japan Healthcare Dentistry Study Group. The clinic features a barrier-free design with minimal steps, making it accessible for wheelchair users. English-language assistance is available, credit cards and electronic payments are accepted, and parking is provided on-site. Clinic hours are 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
