Hori Clinic, located in the Mizushima district of Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, is a medical facility specializing in otolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat care). Since the clinic was founded by former director Dr. Norio Hori, it has contributed to local healthcare for over half a century, and in recognition of these achievements, Dr. Hori received the Health and Welfare Bureau Director's Award and the Governor's Award as a distinguished contributor to public health. The clinic is currently led by Director Dr. Kanae Okumoto, who upholds the motto of being "a clinic where patients can easily consult about anything." Dr. Okumoto holds a doctorate in medicine and is a board-certified otolaryngologist recognized by the Japan Otorhinolaryngological Society, as well as a certified hearing aid consultation physician. The clinic offers a wide range of services, including general ear, nose, and throat care, allergy health consultations, laser treatment for allergic rhinitis and hay fever (by appointment), hearing aid consultations (every Tuesday, by appointment), hearing screenings, and kampo (traditional herbal medicine) treatments. Consultations are available from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with closures on Thursdays, Sundays, public holidays, year-end/New Year periods, and Obon. English-language consultations are available, and the clinic offers ample parking for patients arriving by car. Infection control measures include thorough ventilation and disinfection of the premises, and patients presenting with cold symptoms are guided to wait in a separate room or their vehicle to ensure the safety of all visitors.
