Located in Usuki City, Oita Prefecture, Tobo Pediatric Clinic is the only specialized pediatric clinic in Usuki City, established in 1987. The director is certified by the Japan Pediatric Society as a consultant for children's mental health, and the clinic's clinical child psychologist conducts developmental assessments and counseling. Consultation hours are weekdays from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with Thursday afternoons closed. Saturday hours are 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, with a designated vaccination time slot on weekdays from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM. On the second floor, the sick child care room 'Tombo' is available, where nursery staff, nurses, and doctors care for children with sudden illnesses. This service is available weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Approximately 1,500 children use this facility annually, providing strong support for families raising children in the community. The clinic offers parking, barrier-free access, and English language support. A team of 14 staff members, including the director, vice-director, nurses, administrative staff, and nursery workers, are dedicated to medical care and childcare support. Through these efforts, the clinic serves as an approachable pediatric facility for families raising children in the region.
