Located in Hita City, Oita Prefecture, Iwao Orthopedic Hospital (Medical Corporation Houtou) has served as a specialized orthopedic medical institution providing inpatient care, surgery, and rehabilitation in the Hita and Kusu regions since its establishment in 1969. In terms of medical services, physicians from the Rheumatology and Collagen Disease Department at Kurume University conduct clinics every other Saturday. The facility features NASA Class 100 operating rooms, performing minimally invasive surgery and artificial joint replacements.
