Hattori Clinic, located in Kakufuri-cho, Nara City, has been providing community-based ophthalmology care since its establishment in 1985. Dr. Masatoshi Hattori, the clinic director, is a board-certified ophthalmologist of the Japanese Ophthalmological Society. After graduating from Tokyo Medical University, he earned his medical doctorate at Nara Medical University Graduate School, and worked at Nara Prefectural Hospital's ophthalmology department before opening this clinic. The clinic treats a wide range of ophthalmological conditions including cataracts and glaucoma, retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, and retinal tears, eyelid conditions like hordeolum and chalazion, allergic conjunctivitis (hay fever), eye strain, dry eye, and pseudomyopia. Glasses and contact lens prescriptions are also available, providing comprehensive care from everyday eye concerns to specialized conditions. Reception hours on weekdays are 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with Thursday afternoons starting at 3:00 PM. Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays also offer appointments from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM. However, the second and fourth Sunday afternoons are for contact lens services only, and Tuesdays are closed. English assistance is available, and the clinic has parking facilities and accepts various insurance plans.
